Wendy's won a 2019 Cannes Grand Prix for their Fortnite Integration campaign. It was one of the many examples of how the brand has used social initiatives (Nuggs for Carter on Ellen DeGeneres and the We Beefin' EP) and social gaming, smartly and strategically by fully integrating the brand's proposition into the experience. With this Cannes Lion Grand Prix winner, Wendy’s broke new ground in social. Rather than buying its way into the game, Wendy’s found an organic way in through an idea that matched the brand’s proposition to the Fortnite game’s latest event.
